APRS+SA Setup Lists page:

Keep Recent List, Ignore List Address TO Keep Tracking Data Group Callsigns Gate Callsigns

  • Keep Recent List - This list specifies that only the most recent position report of station's whose callsign appears in the list are kept. All old position reports are discarded. This allows keeping the most position for stations without keeping all the tracking data.
  • Ingore List - This list spicifies that all packets from the callsigns in the list are ignored. If the Ignore ALL But this list is checked, then packets from stations in this list are the ONLY stations monitored, and all others are ignored.
  • Address TO - This list looks at the Unproto TO field to determine if a packet is to be decoded. The default list included most common APRS packet types. Note that AP* will decode TO fields of APRS, APRSW, APRSM, AP0917, etc. This list is only used if the checkbox above the list is checked. If it is unchecked, then the all packets are decoded, regardless of TO field.
  • Keep All Tracking Data - The Keep All Tracking Data means that all position data is kept for the callsigns specified in the list. This overrides the Keep Recent list and the Keep Most Recent menu item of the Position page and History page, but not the Keep Most Recent menu item of the Shortcuts menu.
  • Group Callsigns - This list looks at the TO field of APRS messages to determine whether to add the message to the Inbox of the Messages page. Callsigns of messages to a Group Callsign are indicated in the Inbox as GROUP:CALLSIGN where GROUP is the Group Callsign, and CALLSIGN is the originating station. If the "All SSID's of My Call is also checked, then all messages to your callsign are included as a group message is the SSID does not match your current callsign. These types of messages are indicated in the Inbox as CALLSIGN>MYCALL-SSID where CALLSIGN is the callsign of the originating station and MYCALL-SSID is the SSID variant of MYCALL the message was actually sent to. Note that no ACK packets will be sent to acknowledge Group messages. Note also, that messages sent TO a group callsign, will be sent only once on TCPIP, and 3 times on RF as no ACK packets are expected. Sending a message to a different SSID of MYCALL, does not this transmission rule unless MYCALL is actually included in the Group List.
  • Gate Callsigns - This list is an IGate function list. Station's whose callsigns appear in this list will have their Position packets transmitted to RF (Gated) if heard via TCPIP and if they are not currently local. Also, messages TO stations in this list are also gated. Note that only the first 2 callsigns are used, all others are ignored.
