1.0 Chronicle

First of all we should thank Andreas Gal DB7KG,who created the TFX
  Driver,December 1994.
We just tested the Driver and the Win 95.
We used that Driver together with the TstHost and the Bay-Com,with the
  Dos 5.0,in a 286 computer.
Later, when we had the possibility to use the TFPCX,which enables
autoconnection too,and is also stable wiyh Dos,we didn't use TFX any
  longer.

1.1 Tests

  Since a colleague,a few days ago,asked us if a TstHost and a Bay-Com can
work in Win95,we thought about the TFX.
We found out that the TFPCX in Win ( both Win 3.1 and Win 95 ) cannot set
  Com port.
When we tried to run the Driver only with default,we noticed that it
works but it doesn't even set the default Port (Com1)

1.12 Hardware

Tests have been made on a PC 586 DX 133MHz with Dos 6.2 and Win 3.11
and on a PC 586 dx 133MHz in Win 95 and Dos 7.0
Both computers have serial Chip Ports 16550AF

1.13 TFX Tests

Testing with TFX in Win 3.11,we have found that, while the TstHost
doesn't find the TFPCX,on the contrary, with the TFX it can run.
Anyway it doesn't receive and it doesn't transmit.
In Dos 6.2 it receives but it doesn't transmit, and the UNTFX blocks
the computer. The display says there is a different programme.
It's very strange that in Dos,when TFX is still installed,if you check
the utilized Com port with the MSD,it is as follows:

   (Com2 utilized in packet)
      Port Com1 Com2
      -----------------------------------
      Port Address 03F8H 02F8H
      Baud Rate 1200 0
      Parity NONE NONE
      Data Bits 8 6
      Stop Bits 1 1
      -------- ----- ----
    Uart Chip Used 16550AF 16550AF

As you can see,the Baud Rate is 0,even if that setting cannot exist on
7,6,5 Bits of the Port setting Byte (Minimum 110 bauds with 7,6,5 bites
  value 0,0,0).
Even the number of the Data Bits ( 6 ) sounds strange, however we are
  not sure it really is.
Then we tried to run in Win 95 and surprisingly, everything worked
  allright,and there were no problems.
Is there anybody who knows more about all that????? Please inform us !!

We would ask the users to let us know about any problem, anyway we shall
be happy to hear from them even if everything is O.K.
Since we should like to go on with TFX,any suggestion would be of help.
Please, point out the computer you are using, the controller, the problem.
