ClusterMaster ver. 4.41b
------------------------

FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON UPGRADING TO VER. 4.41b SEE FILE README.NOW

Ver. 4.41b incorporates most requests made by program users. New features with
respect to ver. 4.30:

- autonomous transceiver mode and/or frequency control, i.e. with no need for
a DDE cooperating program (RigMaster, RigMate or Icomtrol). With "Control"
set to "Frequency only", the transceiver is set on the desired frequency.
If set to "Frequency and mode", the transceiver is also automatically set on
the appropriate mode (e.g. for 14150 KHz the rig is set on USB)
- support of the RCI board for automatic antenna pointing (see file
  C_EXPLA.TXT for details)
- prefix recognition on 4-character basis (e.g. distinction between VP2E and
VP2M, or between LU3Z and LU3{any} is now automatic)
- the "New countries" panel (formerly "Alert profile") establishes the
criteria upon which a DX spot shall be regarded as a -new country-. Among
these, the possibility now exists to select whether by -new country- one
means an unconfirmed or a non-worked country. The 2m and 70cm bands and the
  SAT mode are now included
- a new option ("If new country") of the "Configure", "Features", "Voice"
menus. Its selection causes the DX spot to be pronounced only if its prefix
  corresponds to a -new country-
- the 2m, 70cm, 23cm bands and the SSB, CW, FSK, SAT, FM modes are now also
pronounced, with the possibility to select what is to be pronounced
  ("Settings" and then "Spelling" menu)
- a new option ("Frequency control") of the "Configure", "Features" menu. When
set to "Auto", the transceiver mode and/or frequency will automatically be
set upon DX spot arrival, if this is a -new country-. When set to "Manual"
you shall double-click, as usual, a frequency indication to set the
transceiver mode and/or frequency. With button "Auto tune"/"Man. tune" one
can quickly switch the two modes
- a new option ("Auto reconnect") of the "Configure", "Features" menu. When
set to "On", program will attempt to re-connect the PacketCluster upon an
unintentional disconnect. With button "Auto rec."/"Man. rec." one can
  quickly enable/disable this feature
- a new option ("Filter unwanted") of the "Other" menu prevents showing on the
main window text lines containing user-defined strings
- callsigns comprising a "/" (e.g. SV1AA/SV5 or SV1AA/SV5/M or SV5/SV1AA or
SV1AA/5) are accurately parsed, to allow immediate identification of the
DXCC country and direct display of the home-call callbook address and of DX
  bullettin information
- in the "DX spots" panel, the -new countries- are marked by an asterisk
- foreground and background colors can be independently set for the three
  windows
- with regard to callbook addresses, it is possible to print multiple address
  labels per page
- the "Talks" panel now also shows the arrival time for each Talk
- a new "Reply mail" button allows to directly answer the last message read,
while the "Send Mail" button now sends public mail (i.e. not private). In
both cases, it is now possible to request a return receipt
- the Sysop can now be changed by clicking, while in monitor mode, the label
showing the current Sysop (there in no longer a "Sysop" button")
- the DX spots panel can now be also horizontally resized (double click on
  panel border first)
- the "DXCC status" panel now also shows the toplist score (sum of countries,
  160 through 10 meters)
- it is now possible to activate or de-activate the RTS/CTS handshaking
protocol, intended to avoid data loss on the PC-TNC link when transmitting
  long text files
- you can directly copy to the Windows clipboard the content of the main
window or that of the auxiliary window
- any text entered in the transmit window may now be fully edited before
transmission (just press <Enter> to send message). You can now send a
CTRL-Z and a CTRL-Y directly from the keyboard if desired. Hitting
key <PageDown> causes the last transmitted command or message to be
  re-displayed for retransmission
- there are now 4 buttons (instead of 2) which can be programmed by the user
with commands of the SH/xxxx series
- DXCC data files have been significantly enlarged, now distinguishing the
call areas of all countries. Files structure was slightly changed to allow
4-character prefix identification and to simplify marking the deletion of
a country, see files C_EXPLA.TXT (English) or C_SPIEG.TXT (Italian).
However no change was made to the country numbers, so any country/callsign
data you may have already entered are still fully valid
- bugs correction and other minor improvements
